Work in Progress

Bob & Cathy Cranston will be attending the 2006 Wildscreen Film Festival (click link) in Bristol England from Oct 15 – 19.  We hope we might be able to see you there.

For 2006, Cranston has teamed with Pitcairn Productions.  We will produce a 17 screen High Definition Projected presentation for the Smithsonian’s new Ocean Hall (click link).  Scheduled for opening mid 2007.  This unique project will take the film crew to Galapagos, Texas Flower Gardens, Indonesia and the Maldives.

As principle underwater cameraman for the Tanya Streeter series, Freediver (click link for times), Bob will be working with the BBC in the Bahamas and in California in 2006.  Tanya Streeter won the 2006 Best Presenter Award at the Missoula Wildlife Film Festival. Freediver (click link for times) is broadcast by the DiscoveryChannel (click link) in the United States, and attracts a large audience.  Presently 5 new shows are in the works, look for them in 2007.

National Geographic TV’s (click link) Planet Carnivore series is sending Cranston and his team to South Africa.  The plan is to film sardine bait balls and the sharks and dolphins that feed on the frenzied prey.

Bob has a 5 acre ranchette in San Diego County California.   Mrs. Cranston desperately wants some landscaping, and Bob says he will be getting around to that soon.
