Topside Filmwork
Bob Cranston and his assistant are
qualified, and have experience, shooting complete topside sequences. This
includes video or 16mm, and basic lighting techniques. Also experienced
with sync sound. Experience has been gained on the following recent projects.
Weather X
 
Produced for the Discovery Channel by Evergreen
Films. Story about storms and extreme weather. Bob Cranston was one of the
2 cameramen who shot all of the Hollywood sets for the weather special effects.
This included working with actors, storm weather lightening machines, smoke
machines, wind + water machines, green screens, explosives.
Presently in post production.July 2001.

Inside the International Space Station
Produced with $800,000 budget for
Discovery Channel by Pierre deLespinois at Evergreen Films. Bob Cranston
worked 2 days shooting underwater, inside the Neutral Bouyancy Laboratory, with
the astronauts training for weightlessness.
Cranston
worked 12 more days shooting the topside at the Johnson Space Center, Houston.
Topside shooting included most of the interviews with astronauts and engineers,
test flights in the Mission Control Center, simulators and training scenarios,
demonstrations in labs of technology and engineering. January
